The Hungry Horse Dam is located a few miles from our
campground. The Hungry Horse plays an important role in water storage,
flood control, hydroelectricity power, and recreation for the Pacific North
West. The construction of this Dam took
place in July 1948, and finished July 1953.
The Dam cost 102 million dollars to build. We really enjoyed walking across it.
